catching up...........

wow I thought we could just ease ourselves into the new year..........

OMG blogland is a hive of activity.........thank goodness the SSCS is nearly all over..............I have one more post to do but will wait for a couple of parcels to arrive..........and a couple of pics emailed to me.............

but just cruising around blogland in the last few days here is what I found

Capricorn Quilts BOM (loved the last one)

A calendar BOM (stitchery/applique options)

WIP's Challenge (definitely need that)

Whirl into Winter (with nothing under 32 & 39C forecast hardly feels like winter here)

Red work Cushion swap (thinking about it)

Diet Challenge (need it but will I do it???)

Handmade 2009 Christmas (just to get you moving NOW)

Calendar Quilt Challenge '09 (nice idea but I would miss to many days)

and I am sure there are more I missed...........I think I might bury myself back under the air conditioner.......

take time to stop and smell the roses...........picked these ones and put into 3 vases this morning........

sewed some binding onto this quilt on my new sewing table...........so much easier with heaps of space..........and flat bed too.........

I helped fairy girl make a place mat for her Grandma.........nearly done..........

amused myself with pin decorations made by Fairy Girl......

Finally took some pics of the new table..............8x4 foot............it is wonderful............

custom made by DH for us girls for Christmas..........

2 machines and the over locker now have their own flat bed space............

even designed underneath so some of the boxes can go under there and there is a high shelf that I can put my light box (custom made also by DH) and rulers etc and it is on wheels so I can move it all...........scary thing is where the boxes came from it doesn't look like anything is missing.........I have way to much "stuff"

nearly finished this skirt for a niece just need to find the piece of paper with the waist measurements and we are done..............

got a ruffling foot awhile ago and had a go on the skirt..............very nice and soooooo much quicker then gathering..............

.........take care til next time.............
.......Chookyblue..........

What beautiful roses, I love them but they just don't grow well in our garden. Are they perfumed? What a great table. I've just bought myself a small sewing table, just no room for anything that large. Once again, thanks for organising the SSCS, it's been lovely to see all the wonderful things that people have made. You surely deserve a rest now.

Oh my, how I wish I had space for a table such as yours. Now that the swap is over, perhaps you'll find an extra minute or two for yourself! Hugs.

You obviously have been doing a bit more cruising around blogland than me!!! Makes me want to though! Lovely roses, I noticed last night that my 'chocolate' rose is in bud again. Great photos of 'the' table.

What an awesome sewing table!!! I am envious I must admit :) Your hubby did an amazing job you are some lucky girls :)

That hubby is worth bottling...you could rent him out. I laughed at the pin cushion....Lucas' mates use to always colour co-ordinate my pin cushion when we shared the same space. Very interesting ruffle foot never heard of it.

You have been so busy with the swap it's about time you put your feet up and smelt the roses. Love them by the way - the colour is stunning. You are lucky to have such an accommodating DH to make you a wonderful table. I'm going to show pictures of it to mine - don't think I will get anywhere but I can only hope...vbg. I'm green with envy.

Amazing roses!
The table looks just perfect!
Mine is a mini table - the clear type attached to the machine. I felt is if I had a third hand when I first used it. I suppose you feel as if you had at least 2 more hands when you use it! LOL

Oooh, a ruffling foot! Must see if I can get one to fit my machine. Saw one demonstrated on an old treadle machine once on the Quilt Show and thought it looked so easy! Your roses are beautiful- hope the heat doesn't knock them too much.Do you have a link for the redwork cushion swap?
